RWANDA CELEBRATE THE INTERNATION WEEK OF THE DEAF

The worldwide  celebrate the International week of the deaf on 13 October 2017, in Rwanda the ceremonies of  celebration  is taking  place in Rubavu District , the theme of 2017 is “Full inclusion with sign language”. Ndayisaba Emmanuel the Executive Secretary of NCPD said that the persons with hearing impairment is not like other types of Disabilities  categories  because it is invisible and to communicate with the persons with hearing impairment is most problem hindering   them. For resolving  such problem and remove these barriers of communication fully , we suggest  RAB  to include the sign language  new curriculum from nursery to secondary School s and NCPD in partnership with Rwanda Nation of Deaf  are designing the Rwanda sign Language Dictionary Said Emmanuel Ndayisaba Executive Secretary of NCPD. Mr MUNYANGEYO Augustin, the President of Rwanda National  Union  of Deaf said that this is the occasion of presenting the achievement of the deaf people and  concerns of the Deaf Community  and said that even if the Deaf people in Rwanda live in multifarious problems ranging from social economic, cultural and Developments circumstances, like  negative attitudes, communications barriers, poverty  and degrades deaf people’s attainment of dignity .The guest  of honor Honorable RUSIHA Gaston said  all life is founded on Human rights and said the persons with hearing impairment are hindering the problems of rights of expression in schools, in Medicines, in political entities, in police station , in justice, in business and all community. For promoting the rights of expression Rwanda government will promote sign language as the official language using in Rwanda.
