NCPD SENSITIZED RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES WITH POLICE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN EASTERN PROVINCE

This workshop was conducted by NCPD Executive Secretary Emmanuel Ndayisaba who explained the Judicial Police Investigators that one of the responsibilities of the NCPD is to collaborate with different  institutions in order to promote the welfare of Persons with Disabilities and improve the quality of services delivery for persons with Disabilities according the type of disability, in most court systems Persons with Disabilities hindering with discrimination due to the lack of information of communicate with Persons and the barriers may be removed. The Inspector of Police Emmanuel KAYIGI in his remarks said that all Human has the equal rights include persons with Disabilities. He added that the criminal Justice System in Rwanda encounters  barriers when people with disabilities come into justice systems because we haven’t  acknowledge in sign language, to led the people with visual impairment still big issues, we will committee to  work hand in hand with NCPD  in order to deliver a better service to PWD”S .  At the end of the workshop, the participants understood how the barriers may be removed for persons with Disabilities for the future and participate  in freeway in the justice system.
