THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The National Council; in its mandate is assigned the responsibility to build the capacity of persons with disabilities. In this line, from 9th January to 6th February 2013, NCPD staff team made by the Business development and Access to finance officer, Mr. NYILIMIGABO Thierry  and the Training and Skills development officer Mr. Murera Emmanuel are conducting field visits throughout the country to assess the capacity of 28 cooperatives initiated by PWDs that have RCA Certificate.

During the visits, the team will assess the capacity and performance of the cooperative, and from exchanges with their representatives, challenges encountered while managing those cooperatives will be identified and technical advices will be provided. These visits to cooperatives initiated by Persons with Disabilities will be an occasion to build capacities and to improve entrepreneurial skills of cooperatives representatives on cooperative management and income generating projects.
