THE THEME OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES 2017 IS “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all”.

This theme was published on 9th November 2017, at sports View Hotel where hold Disability Coordination Forum which is the meeting that joins NCPD and their Stakeholders. The meeting was opened by Mr Oswald Tuyizere Director of Social Economic and Empowerment in National Council of Persons with Disabilities on behalf of Executive Secretary of National Council of Persons with Disabilities.  The main Objectives  of this meeting  was to present and adopt the terms of references for Disability Coordination Forum where any institution that works in disability movement are grouped in clusters and each cluster shall meet one time by quarter instead of to meet with all stakeholders in quarterly.  During this Meeting NCPD presented the activities and budget that shall be used in IDPD 2017.  The participants are informed that, The International Day of Persons with Disabilities will be celebrated at each District but at National Level the celebration will take place at Kayonza District on 3 December 2017, precisely at EAR Gahini ground. During this meeting NCPD requested all stakeholders to fund the celebration of IDPD 2017 because the budget is limited.  In his closing remarks Mr  BADEGE sam the Vice Chair of NUDOR  thanks every participants for attending the meeting and encourage every stakeholders to exhibit during the celebration of IDPD.
