The IDPD theme 2019 is “The Future is Accessible.”
The National Council of Persons with Disabilities is conducting a preparatory meeting for celebrating the International Day of Person with Disabilities. The celebration will take place at Nyamagabe District on 3rd December 2019. The participants are coming from different institutions working in disability movement. The theme of 2019 is “The future is accessible.” Before the Celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the National Council of Persons Disabilities will organize the disability week scheduled to start on 24th November to 3rd December 2019. The disability week will be caracterised by the accessibility audit in Health Centre facilities countrywide, visit Centre taking care of children with Disabilities, National Conference on TVT for youth with Disabilities, Community work in Nyamagabe District, Celebration of world AIDS Day Special Events for Children with Disabilities and finally the Celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December 2019 in Nyamagabe District.
